CBE successfully conducted a well attended exhibition and interactive workshop with renowned Bonsai Artiste, Ms Anupama Vedachala.
Over a span of 2 days, multiple topics were covered with an open discussion forum. Traditional and western styles of Bonsai Design, compositions of potting mixtures, and live demos of pruning and shaping a variety of plants and miniature trees.
Bonsai enthusiasts from all over South India participated and displayed their plants and delicate handiwork.
Anuradha Vedachala is a renowned bonsai master and internationally acclaimed artiste from India. She has played a significant role in popularizing bonsai within India and has been active in teaching, exhibiting, and promoting this ancient practice.
Anuradha is known for her dedication to the craft and has conducted workshops, exhibitions, and seminars to share her knowledge with bonsai enthusiasts, across the globe, being the first lady to teach at the World Bonsai University.
Bonsai Mentor and CBE President, Vikram Thambuswamy, emphasized the meditative and spiritual aspects of bonsai, viewing it as not just an art form but also a way to connect with nature and practice patience. His expertise highlights indigenous plant species, integrating them with the traditional Japanese art of bonsai. Through his efforts, he has inspired many to take up bonsai as a hobby and an art form, contributing to the growing interest in bonsai across South Asia.
